The garment making exercises, the introduction to the types of stitching (French stitching, flat stitching, etc.), the auxiliary materials and their use (linings, carpets, etc.) are essential for the creation of clothes.

A "pattern" is a template or model that serves as a guideline for the design and construction of the individual pieces required to create a garment. Patterns are the instructions on how pieces of fabric should be cut and sewn to create the desired garment.

With the patterns, clothes are produced according to them. Let's have a look below at some of the individual basic techniques found in cutter sewing.

The stitch:
It is a type of simple seam with a linear form that aims to support and join two or more pieces of fabric. The stitch is stronger and more durable than hand stitching. The use of a sewing machine in the creation of stitches makes the production process faster and is therefore used in the industrial production of clothing and other textile products.

Adding individual elements to fabrics: Incorporating the zipper, buttons and creating pockets is an important stage in the completion of the product as it makes it more usable and presentable.
