Woven crochets are made with traditional hand looms.

Weaving involves various stages, from the initial processing of the raw material to the production of the woven fabric that is the final product, including the dyeing process with materials from the region's plant wealth. The preparation of the yarns for weaving consists of the collection of the raw material and its processing, the preparation of the warp, the placement of the interlacing in the counterpart and the final weaving. Today the raw material for weaving handicrafts includes local materials or those obtained through trade.

The Epirotean identity of the woven crochets is characterized by rich decoration and themes with countless color combinations and special charm. The design woven, on the rustic fine thread loom, is drawn on milimetric paper and is done simultaneously with the fabric while alternating the pads to create cross-stitching and stabilize the threads. Interestingly, the design with the "Good Morning" indicates a wish for a good day and good luck and in combination with birds or roosters indicates luck and has a comforting meaning, so it was typical of the girls' dowry. Each time a line of design is finished we pass 2 shuttles to stabilize the design and make the knitting.

The loom used is the "tradtional loom" and consists of four looms.
