When the weaving is completed, the fabric is cut from the warp which will remain and tied to start the next weaving, since more than one piece can be made with one warp. We must first loosen the back roll, unwinding some warp to let it fall loose in front of the comb. To keep the warp threads from running out, tie them in a knot (a simple knot) after each strand of warp is cut. When the cutting is complete, all the warps should be tied in front of the scallop.

In the final stage, the fringes are made with the binding, the tying of the threads to stabilize the weaving and prevent it from unravelling. A simple kind of tying is done by grasping a few warps (about 10- 15 threads) with the left hand. Twist the threads counterclockwise to get something that looks like a coarse thread Thread the ends of the warp around the loop and then through it. The weave is twisted and gusseted, in the places where it needs to be.
